It was a great visit back home. I arrived Friday and Brian picked me up. Anna must have told her mom I like sour candy because there in the passenger seat was a massive brick of my favourite xtreme sour candies.
sam, bobby and I went to this new zombie themed bar in north east where I ordered “Dead Guy Ale” in a large special bottle only to find out the barkeeper wasn’t supposed to sell it. They have a chainsaw in a glass enclosure at the entrance “in case of zombie attack”. On one screen they play back to back B horror movies. we ended the night with an outdoor fire (something we can’t do in California).
Sunday we saw Paranormal Activity and I had to watch the last scenes with one eye and one ear closed and I still jumped. We went to the Soap Factory in the evening and unfortunately I had to join a different group. It was good but not great. We hit a bunch more NE bars and ended the night watching a Swedish zombie flick “Let the Right One In”.
Sunday I met up with Liz at Mercy Vineyard (Anthony met me there too). I ate lunch at Luz and Jeffs (technically my house) and the Jeff and I saw Surrogates which was a renter by my evaluation. Sunday evening was spent back at Brians with my inlaws for their big family Sunday meal (Hotdish and lasagna.. Haven’t had hit dish in a while). We watched some TV Sunday night and crashed early.
today I slept in and visited my grandma for a bit before heading up a checking out PTCs new office. I ate lunch with a bunch of my old workmates and said hi to even more. The last stop there was to Anns office to apologize to her in person for being such a jerk to her before I had left. I’ve been a hired in manager twice now and had some crow to eat. It was a good visit. Luckily that group is rid of their problem manager and I think they have fun times ahead.
I’m now standing at the airport waiting for my ride and really really longing my bed and some healthy food.
